Awwwwwww, thanks, Abbie! You're a sweetheart! I am doing so well...the dizziness has reared its ugly head, but it's tolerable...and I have an earache, but that's what the pain meds are for! On the whole...it's much better this time around than it was last time...Hooray!!
Thanks for the love! :) (((HUGS)))

Great news Jennifer.

Abbie is a good support person.

I came back from al lthe prequalification stuff today. I have Otoschloris of the ear. It affects the Cochlea. I still qualified but needed an MRI to determin extent of disease and which ear is better choice. Surgury is Dec 31 pending insurance approval.

FINALLY

Jim,

What is Otschloris? That is not like ossification, is it? I had to have a CT Scan and MRI before my surgery. I think it is a good thing to have. When are you going in for the MRI? I have my fingers crossed for you and please keep me updated on this. I am behind you 100%!

Abbie,

Otoschlerosis is apparently causing of scar tissue buildup in the middle ear andeventually works it way to the cochlea. My left ear was CT scanned and some of the cochlea was scarred over. They did the MRI the same day. I'm waiting on response from doctor as to which ear he is going to do. The scar tissue buildup also increases the chance of facial nerve stimulation as the sound created by the Implant wil ltravel through the scar tissue and if it covers the nerve it will stimulate the nerve causing tics, It correctable by shutting off whichever electrode is sending the signal to the scar tissue.
Thanks for the support.
